To submit an item, check this list to ensure it is acceptable. If it is not on the list and you feel it should be accepted, check with an MOA member as not all acceptable items are on this list. After determining acceptability, place the item in a bag with a book. The book should include your name, ICQ number, description of the item, and a minimum bid. If you do not use ICQ, you can leave an email address in the book. Once your item is ready, contact a member of MOA and arrange to meet them at the auction house to submit your item.
Auction Times
Auctions are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays (8pm CST) at the auction house near the Buc's Den Portal Trammel on the Great Lakes Shard and on Tuesday (8pm CST) at the Luna auction house on the Lake Superior Shard.
While every effort is made to get all items on the block during the auction after the item is submitted, it does not always happen due to the large number of items submitted. In the event an item is not auctioned the week it is submitted, it will be moved to the top of the list for the following week.
Payouts
On the day following the auction where your item was sold,
we will have a check available for you to pick up. We do charge a 5% auction fee which we use to sponsor a variety of
programs and events on the shard where it was earned (Great Lakes or Lake Superior).
The Auction House on the Great Lakes shard is staffed every Friday Night from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CST
(8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST) for submissions and payouts. To submit an item, or collect a payout on the Lake Superior shard,
please contact a member of the MOA Lake Superior staff to arrange a convenient time to meet.
Item Submission
When submitting your item, make sure that the person you are submitting to has the MOA flag above their head and is standing behind the counter at the MOA auction house. No MOA member will ever accept any item at any other location. If you are unsure of the identity of the MOA member you are dealing with, you may check their name against this list or contact another MOA member to be sure. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Finally, please do not attempt to submit items or collect fees right before, during, or immediately after an auction as it causes too much confusion for the staff as they are preparing for, conducting, or attempting to conclude an auction. While from your perspective, an auction worker may not look busy, they are frantically working to track items in databases, update lists, and communicate with other auction workers. While it may look easy, a tremendous amount of time and effort is spent behind the scenes to bring you three exciting auctions with great items each week!!! So please be considerate of the staff during these times.
